Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. Her twelve WTA singles wins include one Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. When it comes to doubles, she's also an outstanding player. She has won two Majors in the past with Elise Mertens: her US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Also, she achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, taking the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. This feat was only achieved by four couples playing in the women's doubles. In January of 2023 she reached her highest ranking in singles. The 23rd day of August, 2021 she was promoted to number two in World rankings. But in doubles, she moved up to number one following her win in Melbourne that identical year. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of 2019 and from 2018 to the closing. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach, and has been since the beginning of 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
